Looking For Experimental Musicians to perform in Shanghai

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Hello All,

We am currently looking for musicians to perform at the Gourmet Traveler Cafe (GT Cafe) in the Gubei area of Shanghai, China. The concept is an ‘Experimental performance dinner theater’- where the entire focus is the performance in a comfortable and intimate setting. Great cafe food and drink will be served, all entrance fee will go to the performers, and it will be recorded live by Bivouac.

If you are interested please drop us a message!

This is an ongoing project so please keep us in mind when you pass through Shanghai. We are looking to schedule a performance by the end of the month July ‘08 and hope to build momentum to make this a weekly event. More details to follow.

For more info on the GT Cafe please go to:

Thanks!

Bivouac.

Hello everybody! It has been a while and things are kicking up again. After a few months with internet connection problems we have finally repaired the connection and are continuing to upload all our past archive to Archive.org. They have updated their uploading process which makes it easier and faster for us to upload our library. Some of our earlier catalog is only in MP3 or OGG format.

**If you would like to upload WAV files for your Archive.org feature, please let us know and we can show you how to upload it directly to Archive.org.

We will also be transferring all of our links to Del.icio.us. So if you do not have an account sign up! We have already migrated our ‘Equipment’ section over. Please stop in an have a look. There is a Del.icio.us link under ‘Artist Resource’. There is also a link to add us to your network so you will be the first to see the links we upload.

As soon as the migration is complete, we will be removing the old PHP resource site as well as the Forums area.

Welcome to New Bivouac website!

Whew! It took us 5 years to get here but we have finally found an easy to update very flexible website format that we enjoy using. It comes in the form of Wordpress.

We are still updating alot of content here and it should take a bit of time but when it is all migrated into this new format, Bivouac will definitely will be a more healthy environment.

Keep your eyes peeled for new and interesting things on this site. New songs and material will be added every week.

We would also like to mention that last month (June 2007) we got the most amount of hits in the history of Bivouac- 58,000!

Thank you very much!
