She’s exploited and abused by everyone around her, but endures it for the sake of the young son she is separated from. Then one night she sees a handsome young man washing in the alley outside her room, and this vision of hope begins to change her life.”
Bivouac Recording was involved in the audio post-production of this independent fiction film. Working closely with the director who was as passionate and detailed about the sound as much as the picture, we were able to create an emotional soundscape that subtly enhanced the impact and drama of the film but still preserve the raw and human element of the cast and visuals.
‘Maid in China’ is currently being shown in film festivals throughout Europe and the USA.
