I am currently looking for local Shanghainese to participate in a sound walk project I am working on in Shanghai. I am looking to record people talking about a location in Shanghai which they have fond memories of.
The purpose of these recordings is to create an intimate image of Shanghai by recording the memories of the local people. The recordings will highlight a location in Shanghai that the interviewee will talk about their fondest memories. Through these recordings one will get to know the person and the city of Shanghai without specifically saying so (this is sort of like an audio tour in a museum- except more personal).
